History of the Race

The race was established to honor the Byzantine heritage of the region by connecting the three castles, which held strategic importance during the Byzantine era. The first event took place in 2019, aiming to highlight the historical and cultural significance of Laconia.

Route and Checkpoints

The route starts at the Lower Gate of the Mystras Castle, passing through Sparta, Chrysafa, Kalloni, Geraki, Agios Dimitrios Zarakas, and concludes at the Castle of Monemvasia. Along the route, there are aid and checkpoint stations to support the runners.

• Mandatory Equipment: Includes a hydration system, headlamp with spare batteries, lightweight waterproof jacket, and a fully charged mobile phone.

• Acceptance of Rules: Participants must read and accept the race regulations.
