Participation Criteria

Participation in the Dolichos Race requires experience in ultramarathons, as it is one of the most demanding races in Greece.

Minimum Requirements

To be accepted, a runner must meet at least one of the following criteria:

Ultramarathons on Asphalt Routes:

  • Completion of a 100 km race within 12 hours.

  • Completion of a 120 km race within 15 hours.

    Completion of a 200 km ultramarathon within 30 hours.

  • Completion of mountain ultramarathons (e.g., Olympian Race or Euchidios Race) within the official time limits.

  • Successful completion of races such as the Spartathlon or equivalent ultramarathons within certified time limits.

  • It is necessary to present a medical certificate certifying their ability to complete such a demanding race.

Support During the Race

  • The race features aid stations providing food, water, and first aid at regular intervals.

  • Medical assistance is available along the route.

  • Use of personal equipment is allowed, which can be stored at designated points.

    • Specific time limits are set at various checkpoints. Runners who fail to meet these limits are disqualified.
