History of the Race

The ultramarathon "Pame Rio" is a demanding 111-kilometer route starting from Delphi and ending in Rio. It is part of the broader "Dolichos" race, offering participants the chance to experience a shorter yet equally impressive journey.

Route and Checkpoints

The route includes 102 kilometers of asphalt and 9 kilometers of dirt roads, with a total positive altitude gain of 825 meters and a negative altitude gain of 1,350 meters. Along the route, there are 11 checkpoints and aid stations providing water, food, and support.

Challenges and Difficulties

The race requires good physical fitness, endurance, and preparation, as runners face challenges such as terrain changes and altitude variations.

Special Features

To participate in the ultramarathon "Pame Rio" (111 km), you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Previous Race Experience:

    • You must have successfully completed a race longer than 50 kilometers on asphalt or trail within the official time limit.

    • Alternatively, you must have completed at least two marathons (42.195 km) with a finishing time under 4 hours and 30 minutes.

  2. Submission of Participation Application:

    • In your application, include details of the races you have participated in, the dates, and your finishing times.

  3. Medical Certificate:

    • Provide a valid medical certificate confirming your fitness to participate in an ultramarathon.

  4. Declaration of Responsibility:

    • Sign a declaration accepting the race regulations and taking personal responsibility for your participation.

Participation Criteria
